Brace yourselves, this one’s going fully vertical!
When we first got the brief for this project, the core idea was simple (and kind of a dream): create a tribute to the Thudercats opening for the new R.A.D. sneakers model.
We were hooked instantly!
If you grew up in the 90s, you probably watched it. And if you work in animation… you’ve definitely seen that opening play more times than you can count. Am I right?
From there, we set out to build our own version, reimagining those iconic shots through a fully handcrafted 2D approach, with strong key poses, crazy FX’s and action-driven animation.
At the same time, we grounded it in something real: translating the strength, rhythm, and signature movements of Danielle Brandon into each scene, inspired by her world of Crossfit and competition (yes, the handstand walk is a real thing).
Every frame was an excuse to push motion, energy, and craft as far as we could.
Hope you enjoy it and maybe watch it on loop!
